The tenth year of Seattle Beer Week is quickly approaching. This year’s celebration of all things beer takes place from Thursday May 10th through Sunday May 20th. We’ll be hosting four events over the eleven day stretch, including a couple of ticketed events. We will be open for normal business during the ticketed events, but the event tastings will be limited to those who purchased tickets ahead of time.
Saturday May 12th: A Night with Seapine
Our friends and family from Seapine will be joining us for the evening. They’ll be bringing some fun kegs with them, including their Coffee Sea Witch and some delicious hoppy beer. Festivities will begin at 6pm.
Sunday May 13: Sour Cellar Tasting
We’ll be hosting our annual Sour Cellar Tasting again this year again. We’ll dig into our cellar to find some funky and sour beers that we’re sure you’ll enjoy. This will be a ticketed event with 12 seats available for the event. Tickets will be $94 and go on sale Tuesday April 24th. The Sour Cellar Tasting will start at 3pm.
Wednesday May 16th: De Dolle Brouwers Cellar Tasting
We’re really excited about this one! De Dolle has been a house favorite of the Bottleworks crew for years and years. We’ve built up quite a collection of awesome beers from this small Belgian brewery and this event will be a great way for you to explore an amazing brewery and the different experiments they’ve done over the past couple of decades. This will be another ticketed event with 12 seats available. Tickets for this one will be $50 and go on sale Wednesday April 25th. The tasting will begin at 6pm.
Saturday May 19th: Barrel Aged Beers with Fremont Brewing
The fine folk from Fremont will be helping us wrap up our Beer Week events with an evening of barrel aged beers. We’ll be tapping a three year vertical of Kentucky Dark Star/Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star from 2015-2017 and pulling some bottles from the cellar for bottle pours. We will have a very limited number of Ancient One Dark Star bottle pours available as part of a flight with the 2015-2017 KDS/BBADS. The Ancient One pours will only be available as part of the flight and will likely go quick. We’ll start tapping kegs and popping bottles at 6pm.
