Easily unique. Challenging expectations. Fun. Hef yeast from Germany was sent to Flavortown with a bit of rye in place of the normal wheat addition found in traditional Weisse beers. But then chocolate wheat was added back in alongside debittered black malt in order to nail that inside-of-a-cof- fin, blacker-than-black aesthetic. It’s metal. It’s goth. It’s roasty, toasty. And the banana weaves in subtley. Think “chocolate covered ba- nana”, but not in a untappd fuck-boy pastry stout sort of way.
