Andreas cultivates the Zini Red 2022 on loamy sandy soils with slight lime inclusions and harvests carefully by hand. The cuvée of St. Laurent and some Zweigelt is de-stemmed and undergoes a 30-day contact with the skins before being gently pressed and then aged in used 500L foudres. Remarkable what wonderful freshness and coolness this has in this hot region. The super delicate tannins act like a soft silk cloak. Blackberries are joined by Amarena cherries and salty olives. Light-footed without heaviness, bouncy like a springboard. The super fruity and slightly earthy Zini Red is bottled unfiltered after 5-6 months on the fine yeast and with an extremely low dose of sulphur.
