We cold barrel aged our World Beer Cup winning Czech dark lager in 3rd use bourbon barrels. We gave them 4-1/2 months to rest and soak up the American oak character. The outcome has us all enjoying a session-able barrel aged lager.
Pours a tan head that leaves lacing down glassware. Notes of cola, vanilla, and soft oak chips on the front of the palate. Some bakers chocolate, sweet tea, and bourbon follows thru. Great for the cold weather without weighing you down.
