From the Rorick estate vineyard in Calaveras County, where there were experimental plantings of Trousseau until the 1920s. This comes from cuttings dating back to those original vines, reviving a little piece of California’s history.
This wine is extremely pale in color and light in body but with real depth and concentration to the aromas of cranberry, strawberry, szechuan pepper, and dried herbs, finished off by a tight tannic structure. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
