It’s hard to believe that we are on the 5th vintage of this collaboration with our chosen brewing family. This year brings big changes for us as we both move out of the Georgetown neighborhood. On a long enough timeline, the Landlords in our system will always win and while they may take up physical space, they will never inhabit our will to do what we love. So this vintage is offered with love and gratitude for the time that we were both able to pour beer down the street from each other. We do not take that time for granted and we very much look forward to making more beers in the future; though we will miss being able to hoist Imperial pints inside of the Church that housed the machines of the once honest and mighty Rainier Beer.
The spirit of this beer has always been to showcase the ingredients of the UK and while this goal has not changed, we decided to recruit some Hallertau Mittelfruh hops from Germany because we cannot help ourselves, we are Mittelfruh Children. The base of the beer is Simpsons Lager malt and Crisp Floor Malted Maris Otter with some of the best East Kent Goldings on the Planet. You can find this beer ON CASK at Machine House and in the can at your favorite independent bottle shops. We also have a very tiny amount in gravity keg that we will be pouring at a “Bizarre” little lager party around the time of Seattle Beer Week. Goodbye Georgetown, may your landlords drown in their own doubloons. Available via package only.
