Red Mason Rye is one of our most interesting recipes, and one of the beers I’m most proud of. It’s an amber German rye ale, blending English-style pale and crystal malts with malted rye, our German ale yeast, and a healthy dose of Yakima-grown Mt. Hood hops. Stylistically you could say it’s similar to a Düsseldorf altbier with the malty focus, crisp body, and clean German ale fermentation, but it’s half a shade lighter in color and the spicy/earthy/bready finish from the combination of rye and hops definitely sets it apart. It’s one of our favorite beers, and we hope your customers enjoy it as much as we do!
