55% Zinfandel, 38% Carignan, 4% Barbera, 3% Viognier
Light, zippy and filled with big fruit – this is the ideal rosé any day. The varietal composition we came up with for this wine seems a little crazy: this vintage called for a bit of white wine to lean out the big reds, so we co-fermented early-picked Viognier juice with Zinfandel, Carignan, and Petite Sirah.
It has aromas of pomegranate, red plum and white cherry along with hints of stone. The palate shows raspberry, gooseberry and white cherry in abundance, bright acidity and a light sparkle and a bit of texture in the finish.
Made from a blend of organic, dry farmed viognier, zinfandel, petite sirah, and carignan.
